A drone operated by a news photographer in Hartford, Conn. is the focus of a new investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The photographer, who was a temporary employee of WFSB Channel 3 in Hartford, arrived at the scene of a fatal car accident on Saturday, Feb. 1, and began flying a small unmanned aircraft system.
The individual was questioned by Hartford police, and according to Fox CT, is now being investigated by the FAA.
From the Fox CT video, it appears that the car accident may have taken place on private property, but was visible from the public street.
There are no state laws regarding the use of drones in Connecticut, but in October 2013, the legislature publish a report on drone laws in other states.
